Our story

Strong, grounded, and aligned

At BARE, we believe in returning to the essence of who you are.

Since October 2025

Built locally, one studio at a time

BARE opened its doors in Odessa in October 2025 with a simple idea: strength is built through structure, not trends. Wesley Chapel and St. Pete are on the way.

Every BARE studio is locally owned and led by women who live in the communities they serve. We are not a franchise. Each owner brings the heart of her own neighborhood, while every studio shares the same standards, programming and experience you can count on.

  • Locally owned
  • Women led
  • Never franchised

Maria Stege

Founder & CEO

Maria Stege is the founder & CEO of BARE Studios, an instructor, and a brand builder based in Tampa Bay. With a background in boutique fitness leadership, she has led multi location operations, developed instructor education systems, and built high performing sales and retention strategies before stepping into entrepreneurship.

She created BARE with a clear vision to build a space where strength is developed through structure, not trends. Her approach is rooted in the belief that standards, consistency, and thoughtful design are what create lasting results, not just physically, but in the overall experience of a studio.

Maria is known for her sharp attention to detail and hands on leadership. She continues to write class programming, mentor instructors, and guide the growth of the brand as it expands.

Since opening BARE in October 2025, Maria has grown the brand from Odessa to Wesley Chapel, with more studios on the way. She built BARE so that every location is locally owned and led by women in their own communities, never franchised, with the same standards and programming in every room.

At the core of her work is a commitment to creating an environment where clients can show up as they are, build strength with purpose, and experience real, sustainable progress both in and out of the studio.
